Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)

A fast-track path to Canadian permanent residency that connects skilled workers and international graduates with in-demand jobs in Atlantic Canada.

The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) stands out as a rapid and efficient route for skilled foreign workers and international graduates seeking permanent residency (PR) in Canada. This initiative enables businesses in Atlantic Canada to recruit global talent for positions that remain unfilled locally, offering newcomers a straightforward route to employment and settlement in one of the four Atlantic provinces:

– New Brunswick

– Nova Scotia

– Prince Edward Island

– Newfoundland and Labrador

Given the strong need for skilled professionals, particularly in the healthcare field, AIP offers an incredible opportunity for qualified individuals to find work, obtain permanent residency, and establish a secure future in Canada.

Why Choose the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)?
Lower Language Proficiency Requirement  The language requirement for AIP is lower than that of other immigration pathways. A larger pool of qualified candidates will be considered if they only need to achieve CLB 4 proficiency.
No Age Restrictions
AIP is appealing to young professionals and experienced workers migrating to Canada because it has no age limit.
Temporary Work Permit Option
Candidates can start working in Canada with a temporary work permit while awaiting PR approval.
Open Work Permit for Spouse
AIP applicants can bring their spouse and dependent children, and spouses can work anywhere in Canada.
High Demand for Skilled Professionals
Many industries, especially healthcare, need workers. Registered nurses (RNs), caregivers, and medical professionals have great career prospects.
Clear Pathway to Permanent Residency
AIP provides a direct and structured path to Canadian PR, making it one of the most appealing immigration programs available.
Quality of Life in Atlantic Canada
The Atlantic provinces are ideal for settling and building a future owing to their high standard of living, affordable housing, and safe, family-friendly communities.
Supportive Settlement Services
AIP offers language training, employment assistance, and social integration programs to help newcomers settle in Canada.

Eligibility Requirements

NCLEX-RN Advantage
An NCLEX-RN certification provides candidates with a competitive advantage in securing job offers from Canadian healthcare employers, although it is not mandatory.
